The Cavi.art success story - It all started in 1988

Cavi·art® is founded by a ‘vestjyde’ (a native of western Jutland) with close connection to the Jutland soil and is still 100% family owned. These values form the basis for the company’s ethos – we focus on our local roots. - Cavi.art. "In 1988, our biologist father, Jens Møller, wanted to show his children an experiment in the basement. A fun one, he promised – something with seaweed."

Naturally, Cavi.art's great journey means that its production must comply with food industry regulations. In order to maintain food safety and hygiene, the company had to find the right cleaning system.

According to Jens Møller, this process involved various considerations to meet their requirements for simple and reliable systems. At the time, they considered centralised systems where everything was gathered in one station and sent out to different satellites, they considered boosted systems that could apply a bit more pressure, something without air and something with air. The Cavi.art production is not like other large productions, it is a production that cannot withstand a lot of pressure, because it can damage the surfaces of the production setup, while the humidity can cause large amounts of residue.

"We approached 8 companies, but finally ended up in a meeting with Foamico and Novadan, with specialists on the technical side and specialists on the cleaning side, and us as consumers. That meeting went really well, we looked at both boosted systems and systems with just water. In the end, we ended up choosing a system with water and compressed air, obviously. We ordered a system right away. Foamico provided us with an extended hose so we could reach every corner and it foamed fantastically. We have since bought a handful of units." Says Jens Møller - Cavi.art.

Cavi.art currently has six TWP systems running and continues to grow. Each and every one of these systems represents our commitment to innovation and excellence in the food processing industry. Our TWP systems are designed to meet the highest standards of efficiency and reliability, ensuring optimum performance in a variety of operating environments.

Less Bar/PSI is Trending

It is becoming more common for some companies to choose cleaning methods that use less pressure in the cleaning process, from 3-12 bar. This is often due to the fact that the company uses equipment that is extremely fragile and cannot withstand much force of too much pressure. It can also be related to the fact that the company's products are sensitive and cannot tolerate large amounts of water particles near the ingredients, as this would affect the end products. At Foamico, we understand the unique requirements of different industries and applications. We specialize in providing tailored solutions that fit your specific needs, ensuring that our low-pressure cleaning systems are optimally suited to your equipment and product sensitivities. Our experts will work with you to identify the best cleaning method and equipment to achieve effective results while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Foamico's Visit

We visited the amazing factory in Herning, Denmark and were given a tour to see how our products are used and how the Cavi.art factory makes its outstanding products.  While on the production floor we had the opportunity to speak to two of the company's valued employees who use our products on a daily basis to clean the production area. "The reason we chose the TWP is that it's simple, accessible and not very technical. There's an air hose and a water hose and that's it. Foamico also made it with an extra hose so we can go from one corner to the other" says Karsten - Cavi.art.
